The highlight
of the new monastery building, planned by Dominikus Zimmermann in the mid 18th century but never completed, is the light-filled monastery library in the convent building.Vistors are fascinated by the unique interplay of paintings, sculpture and stucco. The ceiling fresco by Franz Goerg Hermann glorifies God's work in science, art and technology and marks the monastery library as a "seat of wisdom".
